OUR START

In the spring of 2012, a group of people, including Doug and Heather Connelly, helped plant Rockharbor Church in North Meridian, Idaho. Within 4 years, Rockharbor continued to grow and began to think about planting another church in the Treasure Valley. By the spring of 2016, Rockharbor decided to launch a sister church in South Meridian with Doug Connelly becoming the lead and founding Pastor.

OUR FIRST SERVICE

As a result, Stonehill Church had its first Sunday service in August of 2016. We began meeting at Victory Middle School, and then in 2019 moved our Sunday services to Mountain View High School.

Where are we heading?

We believe the future is bright at Stonehill Church. As we prayerfully seek God’s direction and plan for what lies ahead, we are filled with faith and anticipation for all He will do in and through our church.

We hold this vision with open hands, but our prayer for the five-year season from August 2026 through August 2031 is to…
  • Multiply Stonehill’s impact through campuses and church planting.
  •  Significant, citywide community impact, including at least one major initiative we become known for.
  •  A comprehensive discipleship program that teaches and equips parents with a practical, fully developed plan to disciple their children and students in partnership with Stonehill Church.
  •  To be in our Permanent Faculty by end of 2027 on Amity Road.
  •  Stonehill Groups and Discipleship Environment participation is sustained at 75% of adults.
  •  Stonehill Serving sustained at 60% of adults engaged in ministry
  •  To continue to reflect a healthy multi-generational church.
  •  2,200 salvations and baptisms over five years, supported by clear evangelism and discipleship pathways.
  •  An active thriving men’s and women’s ministries with deep levels of discipleship.
  •  A fully functioning Residency Program
  •  A second major building addition and potential land or facility bought for a second campus.
  •  A clear strategy formulated and executed to encourage and equip pastors and ministry leaders locally and beyond.To continue to reach those who do not have a relationship with Jesus.
