The Discipleship Growth Track

he discipleship growth track at Stonehill includes four movements modeled by Jesus: Gather, Grow, Give, and Go. Jesus gathered with His disciples and invited others into a close relationship with Him (Mark 3:14; Matthew 9:10). He grew in His relationship with the Father by regularly withdrawing to pray and seek His will (Luke 5:16). He gave generously of His time, compassion, and resources to serve those in need (Matthew 20:28; Luke 4:18–19). And we see Him go throughout Judea and the surrounding regions, proclaiming the good news of the Kingdom of God (Matthew 4:23; Luke 4:43). By engaging in these four movements of Jesus, we are discipled by Him and become more like Him.

DISCIPLESHIP GROWTH TRACK

Gather

Jesus gathered people into a new kind of community—around worship, truth, and relationships. We gather in both larger corporate worship and smaller groups where we encourage one another, build deep friendships, and grow more like Jesus together.

Grow

Jesus regularly withdrew to be with the Father through practices such as prayer, fasting, and time in God's Word. We grow by following His example, allowing the Holy Spirit to shape our hearts and transform us to become more like Christ.

GIVE

Jesus gave His life in sacrificial love and calls His followers to live with the same generosity. We give our time, talents, and treasures to serve others, strengthen the church, and advance God's mission in the world.

GO

Jesus was sent by the Father, and He sends His followers to make disciples. We go by sharing the hope of the gospel with friends, neighbors, and coworkers, serving our local community, and partnering in God's work among the nations.
